Fanie Heymans is an award-winning wildlife photographer whose passion for nature and the outdoors has shaped his creative journey for more than two decades. Born and raised in Welkom in the Free State, his love for wildlife photography began while exploring the Drakensberg Mountains with his wife, sparking a lifelong appreciation for capturing the beauty of the natural world.

With a particular fondness for the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Fanie's work showcases the remarkable wildlife, landscapes, and moments that make nature so extraordinary. Now residing in St. Helena Bay, he continues to pursue his passions for hiking, travelling, camping, and photography, always seeking new opportunities to share the timeless beauty of nature through his lens.
